Player of the Year: College Station catcher Baylor Rowlett and outfielder Ryan Johnson shared Player of the Year honors on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State Baseball Team. Rowlett, an Oklahoma State pledge, batted .445 with eight home runs and 51 runs batted in. Johnson, a TCU pledge, batted .380 with six homers and 50 RBIs as the two juniors led CS to a state title in only its second year of varsity competition.

Players of the Year: Douglas' Matthew Wallace and Anson's Matt Villanueva, a pair of pitchers who each were 13-1, shared Player of the Year honors on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class A All-State Baseball Team. Wallace had an 0.43 earned run average for the state champs. Wallace, who also played shortstop, also batted .344 with 25 runs batted in. Villanueva had a an 0.28 ERA, striking out 193 in leading Anson to the state semifinals.
